My recent visit to Muriwai Beach was probably the first time since 50 years ago when my Movie Club made this short film https://vimeo.com/50802981.  I've probably posted it before.  It's a Standard 8 film transfer so the quality isn't the best.

was far ahead of it's time

Yes MVP contained some useful tricks which I've not found in other consumer software.  For example audio buses (groups), the ability to set animation keyframes relative to start or end plus other situations, animation of audio FX at clip, track and bus level.

But other software has its own useful tricks.  I still have MVPX6 installed and working but nowadays use Vegas Movie Studio 17 Platinum.  Sadly it's now a discontinued product as the developers are concentrating on Vegas Pro.  What I like about more modern software is their dark interface.

Thanks Gordon.  I recall seeing it a few months back.  It looks a bit washed out.  Presumably a camera exposure problem and you weren't able to correct it in MVP?

Thanks Gordon.  Presumably Woody is a regular visitor.  What is it he's eating?

Whilst not as large as an Albatross these majestic birds are amazing.

Gordon, it would have been better to start a new thread for your helpful discussion on cameras etc.  This thread is for posting videos.

Alfred, are you able to move posts?

Mobile phones have other uses.  As a SatNav when you are out driving, or even walking. I use mine mainly to surf the net.  I rarely use it for phone calls.

Unfortunately our local COVID Tracer App doesn't work on my old Android so I have to manually sign in when required and my Vaccine Pass I have printed out.  For security concerns I never use my phone for internet banking.

Definitely the end isn't in sight.  But what concerns me is that folk have so much on their phone and should they lose their phone or it stop working.........

They could be on several discs some of which I don't have.  Try:

MVP5 Directors Collection
Sound Effects Collection
The Discs for whatever MVP versions you have - MVP1,4,5,X3,X5,X6.

For us amateur video makers.  They don't necessarily have to be created with MoviePlus.

Alfred - we need a name for this forum.  How about "The Serif users retirement home"?

Hi Jack

Actually for me "jacksjacobs" carries more mana than "jackneve".  Which reminds me you never answered a question I asked way back.  Did you have relatives that lived in London SE24?

Vicki - Suggest John post on the Vegas forum and MovieStudioZen forum for advice on his editing pc. I note he's already posted on the latter and Dr Zen has responded.
