Did Mobiusman's query get sorted - where he asked questions about Text Wrapping and Anchors?
Is my input below useful?

If the offending document isn't private, could you upload the page onto the furum, so that we could see what the problem may be and resolve it? My first thought was that perhaps all the objects were'grouped' - but that doesn't tie-up with your comment about being unable to lasoo anything. Just a thought...

Re the multitude of unanswered question, I find that the vast majority of these topics are 'statements of interest' and not 'questions' requiring an answer. Just the one or two are technical questions - one of which I have drawn your attention too in the General Discussions category: Frozen images in PPX9 **. Similarly, I have added a few jokes in the General Discussion category and once again no replies or answers are required. In any event I am sure an answer would be forthcoming if we could 'see' an example of the user's ** offending frozen images page?

I am still getting to grips with the Forum Alfred.

I see that jpeg images can be uploaded, but what about files such as in PP or DP etc. I am thinking of single pages, not whole works. As, some unanswered topics that haven't been answered might well have been answered if the postee uploaded their page (whatever) that isn't working.

Obviously it is up to the postee if their page/article is not private, but one such unanswered topic grabbed me: "Frozen image in PagePlus X9". If we could 'see' the offending page; the topic may be answered straight away?

I am sure I am right in saying that in the original Serif Forums downloading PP files, etc. was common?

I don't know if you remember Alfred, but in the "OLD" Serif Forum I always did graphics to explain my posts? Love your forum and slowly settling in...

Rotating the Sloped text gives a completely different result to using the Mesh Warp Tool - text is'sloped' but not 'straight' as when using the Mesh Warp Tool.

Ok Alfred, just seen your post. Don't know if you agree my comment about 'Slope' and 'Mesh Warp' - different functions to me..?

Hi Geoff, I can see what you mean about the Slope setting, but I'm not sure that's what Robert wanted? He really was talking about the Mesh Warp Tool. So, does my graphic here explain my thoughts, or did I miss something? Cheers, Sandy

Thought I should at least join the 'welcome' throng! And, so sad reading all the comments about Community Plus. To be honest, like Alfred and many others on here, it was the forums BEFORE Community Plus that drew me in and in and in. Like many I started using Serif software when Serif first started. I was working overseas and had their software sent out and kept upgrading every incarnation that came to be. I then later discovered the OLD furums and from there I was firmly one of the Serif Family. Then came Community Plus and I no longer felt the same family connection - or belonging - that had been the case before. So, on discovering Alfred's Forum that old feeling of 'family' is coming back and we must be thankful for this. Serif seems to have ditched long-standing Serif users, which is terribly sad, but what we have now is that old family spirit reigniting. Let's go for it...

Hello Robert, I have often played with the mesh warp tool, but was never really concerned about 'precise' angles. I just grabbed the text after using the warp tool and rotated to 'roughly' the angle I wanted. So, your method using a straight line and then lining-up might be the only way for precise angles? But, looking at all the warp shapes, there are not many that might fit your bill, save the top one I have highlighted and its neighbour to the right that might need precise angles - as most of the others are intricate shapes, as the example I highlighted below them. Although having said that, any of the shapes with a straight line component in its shape would be suitable for angle precision.

In any event I did have a play in X9 with the top highlighted warp shape and when you click the shape in rotates at pretty much 4.5 dgrees up to the right - I then produced the straight line (your method) rotated the line to 8 degrees (which is the angle I wanted) and then set the warped text to match at 8 degrees. I can't see any other way to get precise angles, other than your method.

Completed my text on a path with Quick Donut Quick Shape. I usually do badges in DrawPlus, and never thought of doing them in PagePlus before - so, thanks for the tip Alfred as I can utilise my PPX4 for this also, AND still learning in PPX4 after 15 years!

Tom's method was a two-fold operation and was easy to achieve, but your method Alfred I couldn't fathom - after all these years! I wanted to do the operation in one hit in X4- using Button Text, so I typed in: -
TOP HALF OF CIRCLE and below it: -
BOTTOM HALF OF CIRCLE   then centred both.
I then chose Path - Button, whereupon top text was normal, but bottom text was back to front?
Using Reverse Curves - changed both: top back to front and bottom ok
In X9 there is Path - Badge which works ok - perhaps in can't be done in X4 and need the two circle operation that Tom suggested?

Morning Alfred,
For 'fried' read 'excited'. PagePlus X4 seemed to have everything I needed for my football work and so stayed with it - what's that - now 15 years or so? I do use X9 by the way for other projects. I also have X5 and X6, as I imagine like most Serif users back in those days we purchased every incarnation as they were issued. I somehow can't see Affinity going that way? Back then we were one big family - which the old forums showed. It wasn't just the 'product', it was the 'users' - the family.

Hello Geoff and YES, still on the Isle of Wight.
The reason I do not get back quick to posts is, as although retired, I do about 35-40 hours a week for my football team here. I am not mad about football, but I do love doing their match programmes, pamplets, booklets and posters, etc., all on, would you believe PagePlus X4 - yes X4! I have X9, plus loads of other Serif software, but X4 fried me when it came out and still in constant use 24/7. Hope you are well Geoff and so pleased to find Alfred's forum.

Just coming in to say hello after some years absence from Serif forums and so pleased to see that the PLUS range is still in topic. I am a die-hard Plus user and won't contemplate the Affinity route yet. All my Plus software is still pristine (so to speak), just like my old 34 year old car - so why change for the sake of changing? I have looked at Affinity Community (if that's what it is called?) and couldn't get the feeling to change. It seems to me that Plus users have remained Plus users and the Affinity range has largely gone to 'new' Serif users - anyway that's the way it seems to me. So pleased to see old names and faces on Alfred's forum and so pleased too, to Alfred for making it so. Best wishes all, Sandy.
