Thanks Albert. Summer is still months away for us.
Great shot. Presumably a regular visitor who has got to trust his "hosts".

Poor birds. The nuts are bigger than the mesh holes so they couldn't get them out in one piece. But then they are woodpeckers!
Thanks Albert. Pleased to see Jill had an easier time on this occasion
Thanks Albert. Jill looked a bit weary towards the end. Perhaps you over worked her this time
I cannot locate the file you mention. I suspect you are referring to a Windows Registry entry. MVPX6 unlock keys are tied into your product key so the entry from other installations won't work with yours.
You need your original installation file for Windows to install it correctly. Just copying over files won't work as you have found.
Unfortunately you are stuffed due to Serif's lack of respect for its MVP users. The only answer is to convert your mts files into a format that your MVPX6 can handle which will depend on what codecs you do have unlocked.
Do you have any earlier versions of MVP? MVPX3 doesn't require codec unlocking but I cannot recall if it handled mts files.

I wouldn’t expect any such installers to be available from the Affinity site.
Yes that puzzles me. Serif (or whatever they are now) aren't helpful towards their old Plus customers.
Thanks Gordon. Working now.

Gordon The link gives "Video unavailable. This video is private"?
Short 5 minute video from a recent village trip. "Donkey Delights" https://vimeo.com/943170484
Thanks Gordon, it's obviously spring for you. I didn't spot any flooding?
For the record there was no Movie Plus 3. There was 1, 4, 5, X3, X5 and X6. You probably had X3. 4 was the only version I didn't have. MVP1 was quite different to 5.
I'd not heard of Canva. It doesn't look good for Affinity users. I'm not one.
Tom - sorry I don't understand your last sentence.
Can you not copy the project material to a thumb drive using the same folder structure as on your pc hard drive. Then when MVP cannot locate a file you tell it where it is and MVP automatically finds the rest? You then need to save the project otherwise it will ask again next time the project is opened.
If for some reason it doesn't work with a thumb drive use an external hard drive. They are pocket size nowadays. I have no problems opening old projects using source material on an external drive.

Thanks Albert. Beautiful Robin shots.

Thanks Alan. Calculating their ages as the dates flashed by indicated quite a variation. What was the oldest of them all?

Thanks Paul, I never did get across the sea to Ireland. Well done. I find with my video group it's our old videos that are most interesting.
Sandy - MVPX6 only does 25 fps MP4 files so if your source is DV-AVI 50i (25 fps interlaced) you lose one field. Personally I use Handbrake which is a free download for converting all my 50i files to 50p. It has several advantages and with my 1080 HD material no noticeable quality loss.
bricksnmortar - You are lucky as I hadn't removed it as yet from Google Drive. I've sent you a PM.
These avi files are obviously your source material which you are archiving. Personally I'd keep them at the best available quality which is how they were downloaded. Converting to mp4 will change their image pixel size and pixel aspect ratio and with MVPX6 you will go from 50i to 25p which means one field is totally lost. 25fps can also make movement look jerky.
Best to buy more external drives if space is getting limited on your storage drive. They are relatively inexpensive nowadays.
Your AVI files are presumably interlaced and with stretched pixels. What exactly are they and what mp4 format are you using?
My old SD AVI files I converted to mpg for use on my TV and to mp4 for Vimeo and YouTube.
My 1080 50i HD I export as AVCHD and/or Blu-ray for TV use. I convert the Blu-ray file to mp4 for Vimeo and YouTube.
Nowadays I use Handbrake, a free utility, for my mp4 conversions. Several reasons but the main one being I can keep my 50 fps framerate. If you use MVPX6 it only does PAL mp4 at 25fps. Or 30 if you are NTSC.
seskolbel - I've sent you a PM.

I may have a PPX5 disc somewhere and if so I'll copy the disc contents and upload somewhere. Will be tomorrow as it's nearly midnight for me.
