The link below is to a video gallery (nanogallery2) running in Webplus X8.

https://video.discoverproductivity.co.uk/index.html

The first page is fixed and the second is responsive. It can display videos from Youtube, Vimeo and Dailymotion, and works by linking to the files on the original hosts to bring over the image, and links to the video on play. By not having to upload videos with Webplus the file size is extremely small. The two pages in the link (28 Videos) come in at 120kb. The gallery is best being on a page of it's own.

The install is code only (not wysiwyg) but very simple to do. It has to be for me to do it, and is mainly copy and paste of HTML Fragment(s) and entering the video id.

Should you want to use it let me know and I'll generate an instruction sheet and supply the file.

Hi Guys.

@GStree It would have been beneficial if you had raised the reason for reposting the link.

The original link worked from my end using Firefox. I copied the url from the site, re-pasted it in the post and it didn't work. I've put the link on a new line and it works for me again. Does it work for you now??

Drone flying in the UK is regulated and recently the laws have been updated to include the requirements for an operator id and flyer id. Proximity to people, buildings, cars etc. has also been reinforced.

Back in the 70's a young man in Manchester gets on the London train and sits in a smokers carriage. Gets a cigarette out and finds he's left his matches at home, so asks the older chap opposite if he's got a light. Have I got a light? No. If I give you a light we'll end up chatting and by the time we get to London we'll be getting on really well. In Lodon we'll probably end up going to the pub opposite the station, drink a few sherberts and get quite merry. By throwing out time it'll be too late for you to travel home so I'd suggest you stay at my house. I have a daughter about your age and during the night you'd probably sneak into her room and end up getting her pregnant, and then having to marry her. I'm not having my daughter marry someone who can't even afford a box of matches!

A French scientist has apologised after a photograph he posted which he said was a star turned out to be a piece of chorizo.

Etienne Klein, a philosopher from the French Atomic Energy Commission posted the image on Twitter claiming that it was taken from NASA’s new space telescope.

If anyone is thinking about moving to using a mini pc, here’s my experience of one. Not an in depth review but just a few simple points.

Nearly one year ago I decided to replace my desktop with something comparable in speed, storage, and using Windows10 and Office pro2019.

After reading and youtubing a number of reviews I quite liked the thought of using a mini pc and ordered one directly from China (Banggood.com) which was:
T-Bao TBOOK MN35 AMD Ryzen 5 3550H Mini PC.   (16GB DDR4, 512GB NVME SSD, Radeon Vega 8 Graphics 2.1GHz to 3.7GHz )

Quite daunting when I first unpacked it - 130mm x 130mm x 50mm (5” x 5” x 2”). Is this really going to do the same job as a desktop pc?  As the original m.2 SSD was a no-name unit and too small, I changed it for an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB M.2.  Loaded Windows 10 pro, MS Office, and all other programs. It has a printer plugged into it, sd card reader adaptor, a soundbar and the router. Keyboard and mouse use the Bluetooth facility.

On the plus side:
The small size of this unit has allowed me to make a DIY all in one pc without the drawbacks of a real all in one. Using a £7 two piece VESA bracket from amazon, the first piece fits to the 100mm screw centres on the back of the monitor. After drilling a 5mm hole at a 100mm centres in the second piece, the pc was mounted on that.  This piece slides into the first piece.

Ample external connectors.

The previous desktop pc had a 450w power supply and the mini takes 65w so giving a saving on power.

It will take an additional drive (sata) that fits in the lid, and which I use to clone the main drive.

Other drives can be added via the external usb ports

On the negative side: None of these bother me but could be important to other users.

The only upgrades besides the disks, are improvements to the wireless and bluetooth.

Audio, video and other cards cannot be fitted or changed.

Fan noise could be an issue for some users when the processor is working hard.

Conclusion:
Would I buy another one? Yes I would. For me it does everything I need it to do and it does it quickly.

If anyone would like photo's or any other information, please ask.

Eurotunnel traffic jam

In the States, to be 'knocked up' was  getting someone pregnant.

The first time my brother in law and his wife visited us, they whooped and had to take a photo of a sign that said "Humps for 200yds"

When I worked/lived in Pennsylvania these are just three of the many questions I was asked.

In response to me answering a question about London and the pavements packed with people. "Why do people walk on the pavement?" Pavement to them was the tarmac on the road.

I had a machine modified and the cutter body comprised of a set of 4 intricate blades costing just over $1000/set. On the initial setup the Supervisor came to inform me that they broken two sets of blades in the first half hour. I wasn't happy, went to see the machine and asked the Supervisor to get a torch. His face dropped as he asked "What are you going to do?" I said I wanted to look down this gap. With a relieved expression he said "Oh you want a flashlight. I thought you wanted to cut the machine up with an oxy-acetylene torch."

"What language do they speak in England?" asked a young assistant in a local store.

I have a car with push button start, and keep the keys in a sicnal blocker pouch. However, having some interior house walls 2' (61cm) thick probably helps as well.

There's nothing there.

I see it OK using firefox. Is there some problem with your browser?

A number of years ago new neighbours moved in next door to us. A couple of weeks later the neighbour came round and asked how many rolls of wallpaper would he need to decorate the sitting room. I said 12. Two weeks later he comes back and says he's got 4 rolls left over. I told him I did too.

I wonder what the minimum requirement is to be named a smartphone?

As a young kid I remember going on a school trip to the victorian street in York where I bought amonst other things, a penny black. A copy of course, but it did find it's way into my stamp album.
