I have been meaning to post this for quite some time but keep forgetting. My husband and I use this font when printing out DVD labels and end credits on some videos.  Hope members also find it useful and able to use it........   https://www.dafontfree.net/steel-tongs- … 46209.htm. Cheers Vicki

My husband is having a new bespoke PC built and has specified win10 to be installed as he knows that a couple of programs he uses are not W11 compliant. When it arrives he will upgrade his laptop toWin11 and see how it goes with our Serif programs. We know several of our friends that are still using Serif programs on XP after all this time.  A lot of off the shelf PC's in places like PC world are still selling Win10 on PC's.  But as Eric says its only a matter of time.

Used the program yet again today.
Forgot about the packs that go with the program and how to alter schemes.
Program was undoubtedly the best in its time and still is extremely useable today.
I have Affinity Publisher but my first port of call is PagePlus at the moment.

I have a file dated 2016 in which I used a business card template to modify to an event entrance ticket.  I introduced a ticket number on the business card that when viewed in page preview N up (9 to a sheet of A4)  the ticket number increased each time.  For the life of me I cannot remember how I did, it even though looking at the original file, is anybody able to assist please?  Cheers Vicki:  Update after reading the help menu I have cracked it.

MoviePlus do members still use this or have they like my husband moved onto other NLE software?  I still use it as it does all I need for my videoing, and I am fully comfortable with using it.  My husband now also uses a program called Blufftitler alongside his NLE which he uses for intro/Outros and lower thirds.  He says it it easier to use that NewBlue Titler pro 7 and Title Studio from Boris FX.  Vicki

Eric you are correct about other uses. We have just upgraded our phones and we both backup once a week to our laptops and the cloud. I now have a iphone10 and he has a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.  We normally upgrade every 3 or 4 years with a Sim free phone

4 uses my husband finds extremely useful with his smartphone is having the Ancestry app on his phone it saves carrying around hoards of paper whenever we are out and about doing further family history research, another is the CCTV notifications along with the Ring doorbell App and finally the IMDB app.

Lastly the saying that "google is your friend" helps enormously over a period of time, I would like a pound for every time we have both used it.

Alfred. I agree with your point about automated bookings, the point I was making is that one receives real time information on the drivers location and ETA.  Cheers Vicki

My husband and I as older people, could not do without our Smartphones.  We could not dispense with ours now in todays society, as just one example we booked an Uber on our phone to take us to Wimbledon theatre it gives the make of car, registration of the Car, the drivers name and a countdown to his arrival on the smartphone.  The vast majority of the people gaining entry into the Theatre showed their Covid Passport on their smartphones.  On coming out we booked another Uber outside the theatre to go home on our phone and got the usual information until he pulled up outside.  Just an example of how the world is changing and how reliant we have become on our Smartphones. I have a new iPhone arriving today and I can just put the old and new phones side by side to Bluetooth all the info over onto the new phone.  Cheers FWIW Vicki

Thank you Eric We will look at the MVP5 Directors Collection first then wade our way through the others.  Hope all is good with you.  Hubby has ordered his new bespoke PC and eagerly awaiting it.  He is not looking forward to reinstalling all he wants.  But it will give him the opportunity to cull out some programs he never uses now.

Some years ago I purchased several Clip art CD's from Serif one of which included sound effects.  Can anybody remember this collection please?  I have loads of CD's from Serif that I have purchased over the years and sadly would involve me spending lots of time searching through them.  Cheers Vicki

We have both been using the program since it first started out as a floppy disc on a magazine cover.  probably got the disc hidden away somewhere. Its probably the most versatile piece of software we have ever used, even today I used it this morning to create an answer sheet  in a table for a picture quiz we are putting together.

As some of you know my husband tends to just make short intro's for a variety of sources this is his latest.  Created using Affinty Photo, Bluffftitler. Soundforge Pro14 and finalised in Vegas Pro19.  Albeit its only a short video it took quite some time for him to put together.   MoviePlus is/was a great program (ahead of its time) had it have been developed further we would probably been still using it.
