People very rarely used the term "crown". If something cost 5/-, people might say it cost "two half-crowns", never "a crown".
There were also florins. Until George VI coins were issued, the 2/- coin was labelled "one florin".

Has she got the Cat Master/Mistress, Human Slave thing properly sorted?
Absolutely!
She was a stray, that we would see occasionally for a few weeks, and would run off when she saw anyone. It was quite while before we could get close, but she eventually got us under full control.
It's quite dangerous for stray cats around here. No traffic, but coyotes, bob cats, raccoons, eagles and black bears, and once in a while, a cougar.
A bob cat attacked a couple of chickens recently, and one died a week or so later. Squeaky saw it from about 20 yards, and disappeared below the house in a flash. She can move quite quickly when danger threatens.
Just a few evenings ago we had a visit from a mother bear and two cubs out in the field adjacent to the house.
It's been a while since a cat post, so here are some pictures of the cat referred to in message 6 above.
She has a very tiny, highpitched "mew", so we call her "Squeaky". However she is not tiny in size! the cushions on the couch she is on are 2 feet deep, and she is just touching the backrest with her long fur.
By the way, she's a pretty good match for the carpet (see message 22)

I can't select "Clean Design" to switch it on or off. The box is grayed out
Hi Carrie-Sue. Welcome to the Forum.
Maybe you have Trimmed Mode selected. That is also on the View menu.
I already looked into that and there was no numbers or product key visible with WIN-7 OS
Are you looking at Help/Registration Wizard, or Help/About? You need the former.
Some people are just too fussy! It is something that happens in everyday speech.
I don't have the Product Key
Why not?
Was this AI in action?
Yes.
Did any of the links in your "localizable sentences" question connect to any of your articles?
It is a cunning device to prevent - by choice - people thinking
Artificial intelligence (AI) is not intended to stop people from thinking for themselves. Instead, AI is designed to augment human intelligence and help people make better decisions 1. AI can help people analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns, and make predictions that would be difficult or impossible for humans to do on their own 1.
AI can also help people automate repetitive tasks, freeing up time for more creative and complex work 1. However, AI is not a replacement for human intelligence. AI systems are designed to work alongside humans, not replace them 1.
In fact, some experts predict that using AI at a larger scale will add as much as $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030 1. While AI is changing how companies work, many believe that who does this work will change too - and that organizations will begin to replace human employees with intelligent machines 1. However, this trend has led some to conclude that in 2040 our workforce may be totally unrecognizable 1.
In conclusion, AI is not intended to stop people from thinking for themselves. Instead, it is designed to augment human intelligence and help people make better decisions. While AI may change the way we work in the future, it is unlikely to replace human intelligence entirely.

Bing has introduced AI power to answer your questions. Maybe that, or something similar is what the Mirror uses.
I have found it to be quite handy, and quite accurate.
I think you will need the original CD (or original download if that is what you bought) and install from that using the product Key supplied..
I have PagePlus X8 installed and working on Windows 10, so I would expect it would work OK on Windows 11, just as PagePlus X9 does.
I'm glad you've got it sorted. A reset does things a re-installation doesn't, so its always worth a try when the program is misbehaving in puzzling ways.
Check the Arrange tab to ensure Lock Objects is not checked.
You might also try a Reset. Hold Ctrl key while opening PagePlus.
Are you saying that you do? I have never paid any attention to them. They go straight into recycling.
Sorry, I see now you were asking about flowing text in a table. That is not possible in any version.
Perhaps you could use a columned text frame, and place an empty table over it for the column dividing lines. But adding separate vertical lines would be just as easy.
I have just installed X5 to check, so here are your answers.
is there any way to automatically put line dividers between the columns?
No. In X5 you have to add them manually using the Line tool. It was one of the features that was requested, and was eventually added in version X8.
I don't know anyway to flow the text overflow into the next table column.
Try Insert/Break/Column Break. (Or use Ctrl+Enter)
I find it difficult to imagine why one would want to use emojis in a morse code message. Or, like Joe, if they were used, how the transcriber would write/draw them.
Hi John,
Welcome to the forum.
I assume both images are A4 size, and you want to print them side by side on A3.
Try this:
Open one image in PhotoPlus and Copy it (Ctrl+C)
Open the second image separately in PhotoPlus
Under Image/Canvas Size, double the width of the Canvas
Paste as new layer (Ctrl+L) - a new layer will be created, and will be selected already.
Use the Move tool (4-way arrows) to reposition the new layer as required.
I hope this helps.
Geoff
The edit button only appears after I've sent the reply!
Yes. Click on it. Then you can attach a file to that reply.
.PPP is not an image format, it is a PagePlus publication ( which may, or may not, contain images).
If you click on the Edit button below your message, you will see an option to attach a file. That can be a .ppp file.
The Layers tab will tell you what objects on the page are. And whether they are grouped.
Unless an object is shown as a Text Frame or as Artistic Text, it is not actual text so cannot be edited.
What does your Layers Tab show?
Old Spinning Wheel
How did you "move" it? I think you will have to install it on that drive.
